These BioFilm bags are made of Mater-Bi, a cornstarch based biodegradable bag. They are 100% biodegradable and can be disposed of in home composts, worm farms, used in organic farm production, and come into contact with food.
The 8 litre bag is designed to fit into the 8 litre Food Waste Air Bin.
The rate of decomposition depends on the level of bacterial activity; in quality compost 90% will have decomposed within 45 days with 99% required to decompose to carbon dioxide, water and organic humus with no polymeric or toxic residue.
